Master’s Coffee and Water acquires Glacier Pure
• Merger adds new jobs rather than reducing staff
• Combined Company is now the largest in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties
• Master’s Coffee will provide improved service and support to Glacier Pure customers
(February 5, 2020) Hesperia CA — Bottled water and coffee customers in California’s Inland Empire
region can enjoy increased quality and efficiency as Master’s Coffee and Water Service has acquired the
assets of Glacier Pure Drinking Water.
“This is a sign that business in our region continues to grow,” said Master’s founder and President Jerry
Lyles. “We’re now expanding service, keeping Glacier Pure’s employees on the job, and we will hire
more people.”
Master’s will offer coffee products and services to Glacier’s water customers, as well as more product
choices such as filtered water coolers. “We’ll also update vehicles, modernize equipment, and improve
systems to deliver enhanced service and support to our thousands of customers throughout the region,”
Lyles said.
Glacier Pure was founded in 1997 by Frank and Sheri Miller, and was the largest family-owned bottled
water operation in Riverside County. “We’re happy to provide our long-standing customers with
upgraded services,” said the founders’ son Patrick Miller, “while also rewarding our loyal staff with
continued employment.” Miller himself will stay on as general manager of Glacier’s bottling facility, to
which Master’s will add additional staff. Master’s will also provide Glacier employees with health care
options. “Frank and Sheri have been family to their customers and employees, and leaders of our industry,” Lyles said. “We’re thrilled they chose to sell the company they built over the decades to Master’s Coffee and
Water. We’ll serve their distinguished customer base well.”
Lyles founded Master’s Vending 30 years ago, then added coffee service, filtered water systems, and a
bottled water plant before selling the vending business in order to concentrate on coffee and water.
That decision resulted in 800 percent growth since the 2013 sale, and made Master’s the largest family-
owned direct delivery bottled water distributor in San Bernardino County. Now, “this merger almost
doubles our size,” Lyles said, “making us the largest privately held operation in Riverside and San
Bernardino Counties.”
Once the merger is completed, Lyle adds, “We will explore more acquisitions in that area, as well as in
other parts of Southern California. The Inland Empire is a key organic and M&A growth market. We hope
to have more announcements later this year.”
